Moses Simon Eager to Play at 2026 FIFA World Cup
Nantes winger Moses Simon is keen to play for Nigeria at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico, according to reports.
Simon is one of the oldest players in the Super Eagles squad but has never featured at the World Cup before.
He missed out on Russia 2018 due to injury while Nigeria failed to qualify for Qatar 2022.
Despite the team’s shaky start to 2026 World Cup qualifying with draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Simon hopes to get his chance.
The 26-year-old says missing out in 2018 after playing all qualifiers was devastating but has motivated him to work harder.
Playing in the next World Cup is Simon’s dream and he will keep pushing and doing his best if selected.
While he wants to be called up, Simon will also be happy to support the team if someone else is preferred instead.
With four years to go until 2026, Simon remains determined to realize his ambition of featuring at football’s biggest tournament.
