N255mScam: Kogi Group Wants Arrested Dino Melaye, Others Released
The Kogi state wing of an Anti-Corruption Network (ACN) has condemned, without equivocation, the arrest of our leader, Hon Dino Melaye while leading a group of peaceful protesters in Abuja on Wednesday to demand immediate removal of the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah over the N255m armoured cars deal.
According to the leader of the group, Bola Olanrewaju, the latest action of the Jonathan government, to say the least, is indicative of its indifference to corruption even at a time when the nation has been stolen blind by cronies and acolytes of an inept regime that has continued to sacrifice integrity on the altar of an inordinate desire for a second term come 2015.
“We condemn government decision to set up a panel of enquiry to investigate the Minister without first asking her to step aside.
“This is a gimmick by the PDP government to hoodwink the unwary public into believing that it is serious about an anti-corruption crusade that never was.
“We demand immediate release of Hon Dino Melaye and all others arrested for staging the peaceful protest.
“We also demand that Stella Oduah and her lying aids be sacked and prosecuted without further delay.”
