Nasarawa United have lined up two friendly matches against Direct Sporting Solution(DSS), a National League side and Kaduna United on Friday and Saturday respectively in continuation of their pre-season tour of Kaduna State.
The Lafia side escaped relegation to the lower league last season thanks to a rescue mission by former Enyimba gaffer, Kadiri Ikhana.
Eversince, the club has swung into action toward a better outing in the new league season. First, they acquired the services of former Kano Pillars coach Baba Ganaru from Kano Pillars alongside youthful Sulaiman who left ABS.
Nasarawa United’s assistant coach, Dogo informed that they have chosen DSS and Kaduna United so that they could be well hardened ahead of the premier league season which starts on February 23rd.
“We have two games against DSS and Kaduna United on Friday and Saturday. We expect our opponents to give us a good game and help us to assess the level of work we have been doing on the team,” Dogo told Goal via a telephone chat.
“The team is looking at getting everything intact before the start of the league. We assure you that our team will be intact before the commencement of the league.
“When we travel to Taraba United for our first game, there won’t be any excuse,” he said.
