NCAA Suspends Associated Airlines’ Operations
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Saturday suspended the operations of the Associated Airlines which only remaining aircraft in its fleet crashed in Mafoluku area of Lagos on Thursday.
The Associated Airlines aircraft conveying the corpse of the former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu, family, friends and some Ondo State government officials crashed Thursday morning shortly after takeoff from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
NCAA’s Fola Akinkuotu who made this known in Lagos said though the operating licence of the airline is not affected in this suspension but the airline’s operations have to be put on hold for now pending the outcome of investigations into the crash by the relevant government agencies.
