Galadima said as much when Hon. Suleiman Kwande led the victorious Golden Eaglets alongside other board members Dr. Shehu Adamu; Alhaji Fresh and Coach Sijl Lagunju (Chief Technical Officer) on a courtesy
call to the Faggae home of the erstwhile NFF’s chairman in Kano on Tuesday.

hence the visit.

He informed Galadima that Maigari was unavoidably absent at the gathering because he returned to Abuja immediately after reception for the Golden Eaglets by Kano State government for a scheduled trip to Brazil ahead of 2014 World Cup draw on Friday.

Elections are due into the board next year and Galadima reckons that the Magari’s team deserve another term to sustain the momentum while advising the need to rally stakeholders together for the betterment of
Nigerian football.

“I’m an apostle of continuity especially with the good results recorded by this board by winning the African Cup of Nations, the Under-17 World Cup and qualifying for the 2014 World Cup,” he said.

“But I don’t like what is happening within the football family and I want the NFF to bring about peaceful coexistence because that is the only way we can sustain these achievements.”

He said he was duty-bound to support the NFF board since there are concerted efforts to turn things for the better adding that Nigerian football would be greater with sustainable sports development policy.
