NFF Commiserates with Pascal Patrick over Father’s Demise
The Nigeria Football Federation has commiserated with former international defender Pascal Patrick, who lost his father, Sir Patrick Tanko on Sunday.
“On behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation and the Nigeria football family, I hereby express heartfelt condolence to Mr. Pascal Patrick on the passing of his father, a former mechanical engineer of repute,”
said NFF’s Director of Technical, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme.
Ikpeme is officially acting as General Secretary in the absence of Barrister Musa Amadu, who has been on a two-week leave since last week.
Sir Patrick Tanko died after a brief illness on Sunday, 11th August, 2013 at the age of 87.
He was buried on Wednesday.
Pascal Patrick, who is special assistant to the NFF President on youth matters, was a member of the Nigeria U-23 squad, Dream Team, that won a bronze medal at the 6th All-Africa Games in Harare, Zimbabwe in 1995.
He also played for the Senior National Team, Super Eagles.
