Reigning Nigerian Professional Football League champions, Enyimba are set to secured two mega sponsorship contracts before the end of February, an official has announced.
The Peoples Elephants emerged champions of the Nigerian top flight league for a record seventh time finishing atop in the 2014/2015 NPFL season.
Farriel Allaputa, media officer of the team disclosed that both deals will be secured with first in Lagos this week and second later in London this month.
“Enyimba FC are on the verge of two major sponsorship deals,” Farriel revealed on his twitter handled.
“I will be in Lagos this week to sign contract papers for one of them. By the end of the month, another signing ceremony will take place in London,” he concluded.
If accomplished, Enyimba will become the first Nigerian domestic club to have secured a major sponsorship contract since the take over of the League Management Company in 2013.
Despite losing their opening Caf Champions League game against Vipers FC of Uganda in Kampala last Friday, Enyimba will slug it out with reigning Federation Cup winners Akwa United for the Charity Cup in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Elephants will begin campaign to defend their title against 2012 league champions Dolphins on February 21.
