Nigeria, Spain to feature in “Road to Brazil” Tour in US

African champions and World Cup holders are in contest for an eight nations’ tournament friendly tour organized by the commercial sponsor of Major League Soccereagles

Nigeria has been picked to participate in the 2014 World Cup warm-up matches in the United States that will also feature world champions Spain.

The eight-nation pre-World Cup tournament which is tagged the “Road to Brazil” event will take place in the United States between 27 May and 10 June.

Five countries to feature at the US World Cup – Greece, Ivory Coast, Honduras and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the other World Cup teams to have signed up while non-qualified countries like Bolivia and El Salvador, are also involved.

The Soccer United Marketing, a commercial hub of the Major League Soccer are the organisers of the series of international tune-up matches in the prelude to World Cup 2014 in Brazil which kicks off on June 12, two days after the international friendly matches in US.
