10 men Kogi United FC secured their first away point in the Nigeria National League, NNL as they secured a goaless draw against Plateau Utd in jos on Thursday.Kogi United

It was a tension soaked encounter as Kogi United were forced to play more in their half.

Plateau United produced a number of scoring chances but the goal-tender for the Wada Boys, Ndem Innocent produced series of heroic performances as he kept his team in the game for a number of occasions.

After holding the Plateau utd to a draw in the first half, the second half saw Kogi united forced to retrieve and defend with caution.

Centre referee Mariam Indo from Bauch issued a straight red card to Kogi United’s attacker, Odeyeme Ebenezer in the 77th minutes with an offense not clear to anyone in the near capacity crowd at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.

Kogi United kept defending despite being reduced to 10 men until they deservedly got the away point in the game.

Acting Coach of the Confluence state side, Yinka Kelvin who expressed happiness on the result, praised his players for adhering to instruction.

Kelvin however promised that the team will continue to remain focused to achieve success in the league.

Kogi United have now garnered 19 points from 13 matches and will next play Spotlight FC of Katsina in Lokoja.
