NNL: Commissioner Hails Oyo People on Crown FC Promotion

Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Mr Adedapo-Lam Adesina has congratulated Ogbomoso teeming fans and supporters following the promotion of Crown FC back to the Nigeria Premier League.

The Sports boss said this shortly after the team victory over Fountain FC of Ado-Ekiti at the Soun stadium yesterday.

Mr Adesina who was short of words expressed his joy for the great achievement. “What can I say? I give God the glory, He deserves the honour, adoration and I dedicate this achievement to the most high God.

The state government plan when we came on board was to put things in order, empower youth, re-awake sports in the state, bring back Crown FC to league, to ensure that 3SC are in good condition. These and many we’ve done through the help of the most high God.”

“Also, I want to appreciate and thank the state Governor, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi for supporting this great dream.”

Mr Adesina also assured that the refurbished Soun stadium under the present administration will be upgraded to meet NPL approval. He said Crown fans and supporters also played a vital role in realising the promotion dream.

Meanwhile, Oyo state government under Sen Abiola Ajimobi will give Crown FC N10 million for gaining promotion ticket.

Crown FC returned to the elite league with 44points behind Abia Warriors on 45points. Bode Daniel was the team top scorers with 8 goals while Giwa Hammed was the first player to scorer the club first goal of the season. Crown maintained a hundred percent home record, with vital away win over Prime FC and a draw against Fountain in Ekiti.
