NNL: Gov Wada’s Aide, Aiyenugba Excited by Kogi United Progress
The Special Adviser to Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada on Sports, Mr Paul Aiyenugba has expressed delight in the standard of progress recorded by Kogi United Football Club of Lokoja in the present restructuring and repositioning process going on.
Mr Aiyenugba, who spoke to the club’s media officer, Samuel Ahmadu during the team’s training session ahead of the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League season at the Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, said he believe the team will bring the desired good football and results to the people of Kogi State.
He equally urged the fans to be patient with the club’s management and technical crew, stressing that the team is undergoing a stitching phase.
Mr. Aiyenugba while registering his delight with the performance of players in the pre-season exercise also expressed high hopes in the club’s ambition to play in the Premier League next year.
He lauded the fairness of the technical crew in recruitment of players and enjoined them to remain focus in getting the team well-prepared for the season.
The Kogi State Governor’s aide commended the technical crew on their fairness and charged them to remain focus on building a good team that will be treasured by all.
Kogi United has recorded two wins from its two pre-season friendlies with 3-2 win over Ziko Babes FC and 4-2 comeback victory against Lokoja All-stars.
