Ilechukwu, stated that his team drew with Prime does not rule the Omoluabi Giants out of promotion chase claiming they are one of the best teams his wards has played this season.

The youthful tactician said he is building upon the standard set by the team technical adviser, Nduka Ugbade.

“I am very happy with the point we picked against Prime, but we still have a lot of work to do on the team and we are missing the services of 6 of our regular players who are with the Under 20 and that was why we have been struggling, this is not our best and by mid-season we will add more forces to the squad.”

“We are still working on our team, and that we have secured more points away has to do with the technical ability of the technical adviser, Nduka Ugbade, we are only building on the standard he set on ground and in as much as we can do well, we can also gain promotion.”

Asked if it was his game plan to secure point from Prime, he said; “Yeah, Prime have a very good side and we have been following all their past matches, don’t forget we are also struggling and any good side can pick point away from home and our hard work paves way for us.”

“Prime are good side and the have ex-Under 20 assistant coach (Abimbola Samuel), I believe they are a good side but, in football sometimes you win, sometimes you draw and sometimes you lose, that we picked point against Prime does not mean they are not a good side, they are even one of the teams I am tipping that will gain promotion to the Premier League,” he said.
