NNL: Obanor declares war on First Bank, Excited by CHAN Eagles Chance

Super Eagles home-bases left full-back Erhun Obanor has declared that his team is ready for the opening match on Saturday with visiting First Bank of Lagos in the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League.

The former Paulson of Benin player who was member of CHAN Eagles that won bronze in South Africa said that with what he meet on ground in the team, they are ready to suprise their fans.

“You see am happy that I was part of the home base eagles that won the bronze in south Africa at the CHAN Tournament.

“Am back home now to face my team work which is the league I want to do my best to make sure lnsurance get back to premier league,so I want to use this medium to tell our fans to come out on saturday to cheer us to victory we are ready for our first victory against first bank Coach Austin and the the technical crew for their work on the team.”

Erhun Obanor spoken of his experience at the CHAN Tournament; Obanor posited that he has never stopped given gratitude to God for his mercies.

He said this recently in Benin after his training session with Bendel insurance as they prepare for the new session.

“I thank God for this opportunity, and for the chance he has given to me, it was a big experience because the national team is a steeping up of one’s career so I have learnt many things. From Eguaveon to Keshi they have taught me many things and the things I saw in the national team will count as an advantage for me to replicate it in my team as the experience was worthwhile.”

On the quarter final match between the black stars and the home base eagles of which the Nigeria’s opponent was one man down Obanor commented on the match against Ghana where Nigeria had a one man advantage, he disagreed on the verdict that Nigeria should have won the match, “you see that’s football for you, you lose and win. I cannot really explain what happen.”

He exonerated Chigozie Agbim poor outing at the tournament and assured that Chigozie will bounce back again.

As Bendel Insurance prepares for new season expected to kickoff the weekend, the left full back said, “I want to say that we need their support, come Saturday they should come and cheer us to victory as without their support we the players cannot do anything, all we need is just their support to do the club proud”.
