Former CAF Champions League side A.S Garde FC of Niger Republic and Enugu Rangers midfielder, Ismael Maiyaki has lauded the standard of screening exercise conducted by the Kogi United’s technical crew.
The former while hailing the quality, character and high level of competition among the players at the screening, acknowledged that when the team is finally formed the club will surely go places.
He commended the fairness of the coaches and quality of the stadium facilities, stressing that he is ready to fight for his place in the team.
The experienced second tier league player after previous double-spell with Kogi United and brief stay at FRSC of Abuja said that, “l am happy with the standard of the screening – the players are of strong character and good quality – there is good competition in the screening and the process is fair – i believe when the final team is assembled the club will surely fly as i am ready to fight for my place”.
Similarly, Copa Lagos 2011 top scorer, Victor Tale has praised the Kogi United‘s technical crew describing the Lokoja-based Nigeria National League side opening screening exercise as fair.
The Supersand Eagles star and Kogi-born midfielder despite been dropped after scaling through the day-one of the screening exercise admitted the screening was an open exercise.
The Beach Soccer legend while expressing delight in the privilege to participate in the exercise said, “Personally, I am happy participating in the screening -l must confess the training exercise
has been fair – l must commend the effort of the technical crew led by Coach Fatai Osho – i have no regret been dropped but will live to fight another day”.
