NNL: Prime FC Gets friendly matches, new recruit loses dad
Nigeria National League side, Prime Football Club, have lined up grade A build up matches in the quest to ensure that the team approach the new season in top form.
According to the media officer of the club, Tunde Shamsudeen, he said the top friendly matches will help to prepare the team ahead of the 2013/2014 NNL season.
The team is hoping to play against FC Ebedei, Crown, Sunshine Stars among other teams.
“We have prepared the team for the top flight friendly matches, we will use the games to know our streght and weaknesses,” he begins.
“We are yet to play against stronger opposition since we are in camp, but I hope we will start doing that from this week. The proposed matches will help the team have match fitness and for the players to have match form mentality.”
The former spokesman of Anambra United Football Club of Onitsha, stated that should the friendly matches materialized, it would assist the technical crew of the Omoluabi Giants a chance to assess the newly assembled squad.
However, the team camp was thrown into mourning when newly recruited attacking midfielder, Ibukun Ojo, lost his father, Gbenga Adeboye Ojo.
The Ilesha born gifted player, father passed on after brief illness and the deceased was 62-year-old before his untimely death.
