NNL: Prime FC release 8 players , resumes on January 12

Prime Football Club management has taken a decision to disengaged 8 of its players as the team is scheduled to resume training for the new season on Monday January 12, 2015.

The media officer of the club, Tunde Shamsudeen, who announced the sacking of the players on Wednesday in Oshogbo, said that the team retained 20 players from last season squad.

He disclosed that the club will embark on trials for players in rural communities in Osun with a 3-Day tournament basically for the state-born players at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.

He stressed that the Omoluabi Giants will use the tournament to scout for exceptional players in the state who can break into the team ahead of next season, while invited players are due to arrive on Wednesday January 14, 2015.

Shamsudeen also said that the club will engage on Pre-Season Tournament and numerous friendly games to ascertain level of the players’ cohesion and fitness as part of preparations for the new season.
