NNL Review: Plateau United, Wikki Tourists go goals crasy, As MFM maul Rovers

Plateau United at the weekend took a bold step towards early return to the Nigeria Profesional Football League (NPFL) with a huge victory over the hapless Nigerian Prison Football Club of Abuja.

Plateau United walloped the Prisons Boys by four goals to nil.

The big win has brightened the chances of the Jos-based team to gain promotion to the elite division at the end of the current season.

Also, Nigeria National League (NNL) Division A leaders, Wikki Tourists consolidated their position at the top by mauling Jigawa Golden Stars in Bauchi. Wikki beat Jigawa 3-0 on the night even as Sokoto United suffered a humiliating 2-0 in the hands of Kwara United in Ilorin.

In Division B, Mountain of Fire and Miracle (MFM) thrashed visiting Unicem Rovers of Calabar 3-1 at the Agege Stadium, Lagos at the weekend while Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) defeated South Western brothers, Remo Stars by two goals to nil.

Elsewhere, Gateway FC were truly at home in Abeokuta where they beat City of David from Lagos by two goals to nil while Abia Comets of Umuahia defeated Stationery Stores
2-1 just as Prime FC piped Go-Round Fc of Omoku 1-0.
