NNL: Uche Okagbue trusts Federal Road Safety FC
FRSC FC boss Uche Okagbue has insisted that his side are a ‘special’ group for next season’s Nigeria National League Pool A.
The former Gabros International coach disclosed this after master minding his team’s two-nil defeat of defending champions Nigerian Prison FC in the final of the 2013 Abuja Pre Season Tournament in Area 3.
“It’s very special,” he told Futball Galore editor Ademetan Abayomi. “We showed what we wanted with clinical displays by Obaje Godwin, Nonso Onyewenre and Amos Daniel.
“We tried to make it difficult for them but it wasn’t be easy. It was a good game, I thank God that the better side prevailed. Azubuike Stephen made some good saves and I think they were crucial.
“I hope we will be able to have a bit more influence on games when the season begins on 25th January 2014.
“Favourites? I think Kwara United are the obvious favourites. They are one of the best sides in the division, after all. But we will be parading a good squad and make Keffi a fortress.
