After successfully guiding Giwa FC of Jos to the Globacom Nigeria Premier league, Coach Abdullahi Usman Biffo has stated that his focus is to win a continental ticket with the Jos-based club side at the end of the next football season.
Speaking to futbalgalore.blogspot.com in Abuja, he said that having realized what it entails to play in international competition, he has urged his players to tighten their belts in order to secure the needed ticket.
Similarly, he confirmed that guiding the team to the top tier was a great achievement in his developing coaching career as he explained that the lower division was made up of very determined and experienced clubs that wanted to taste the premier league by all means.
“Many teams wanted to gain promotion to the elite league, but with God on our side we were able to scale through the hurdle. The division is certainly a big contest”, he opined.
Speaking further, he noted that all the necessary facilities and preparation to achieve this objective of picking a continental ticket by his team have been put in place. He remarked that though it might be a bit difficult but at the end they would get continental ticket to justify the confidence reposed in the team by the sole financier of the club, Ambassador Chris Giwa, a man who knows how to motivate his personnels.
