Nigeria’s league reigning champions Kano Pillars will face Dolphins in the opening match of the Nigeria Professional Football League Super Four tournament which kicks off on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
According to fixtures released by the League Management Company, 2014 Federation Cup winners and Super Four defending champions Enyimba will open defense against the Flying Eagles, before Warri Wolves will face the national U23 team side in Saturday’s opening day fixtures.
The annually-organized pre-season competition, scheduled to hold at the Abuja National Stadium from January 24 to February 4, 2014 will be feature Dolphins, Kano Pillars, Warri Wolves, Enyimba as well as the invited National U23 and National U20 sides.
On Day 2 slated for January 26, Enyimba will meet Warri Wolves while Kano Pillars will play Flying Eagles before Dolphins go up against Dream team IV.
Flying Eagles will tackle Warri Wolves in an early kickoff of the day before Dolphins lock horns with Enyimba after Pillars face the Nigerian U23 on Day 3 billed for January 28.
On Day 4, Friday, January 30, Nigerian U23 battles Enyimba while Kano Pillars face Warri Wolves before Nigerian U20 go head to head with Dolphins.
On the final day Sunday, February 1st, Warri Wolves play Dolphins as Kano Pillars renew rivalry against Enyimba and then Nigerian U23 play their U20 counterparts.
LMC in its issued statement said all players registered for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup are eligible to play while clubs would have to show proof of clearance/ Transfer Certificates for newly signed players.
Enyimba are the defending champions of the NPFL Super Four tournament 2014 after they recorded three-straight victories in a competition that featured Kano Pillars, Warri Wolves and Bayelsa United.
