Lobi Stars goalkeeper Ekoi Agbor has exclusively told Goal about his expectations for the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The youngster who represented Cross Rivers State in the 2012 National Sports Festival is brimming with confidence ahead of the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League season and he is hoping to have the best of his career.

“Next season is going to be different from the others we’ve seen, for me as a keeper I want to keep clean sheets and also help my team clinch a continental ticket,” Agbor told Goal.

Speaking further, he also revealed that he is ready for a move abroad as he has received several offers, but insisted that he wants to gain ground on the domestic scene first.

“Most Nigerian players are too quick to leave the country. I have received offers in the past but I was not ready, but I am ready for bigger success outside of Nigeria if it happens but for now I want to concentrate on helping Lobi Stars become a force to be reckoned with.”

Lobi will be facing Shooting Stars on match-day one of the new NPFL season on February 21st and Agbor added that the Oluyole Warriors should be prepared.

“When you’re playing against a good side, you should be prepared and ready. We’re playing in Ibadan in the week one fixture.

“I’m dreaming big by God’s grace, my time to play for the National team will soon be a reality,” he added.
