“I know I am a star and now number one in handball in the Youth Games in Nigeria, I am very happy for my State, and the Nation given us the opportunity to showcase our talents and above all I give God the glory.
I have learnt a lot from this competition, I see a bright future for myself in handball,” she said.
On her part,Chinemerem said though they were scared of the Benue team because as they lost to them in the group stage, she is so delighted that they won the final match.
“We played well because we were favoured by God and I pray God helps me to do better than what I did in this competition for a brighter future,”she added.
Meanwhile it was rain of tears for the Benue girls as they all broke down shortly after the game.
Vaatia Kumawuese who played well in the match said she is sad that they were beaten in the finals by a team they defeated at the group stage.
