Nigeria international Nnamdi Oduamadi has joined Brescia on a season-long loan from Italian Serie A side AC Milan.

Brescia are in the Italian Serie B and have the option of buying the 22-year-old forward, who has scored four goals in seven appearances for the Super Eagles.

Three of those goals came in Nigeria’s 6-1 drubbing of Tahiti at the recent Fifa Confederations Cup in Brazil.

So joining Brescia is a welcome development for Oduamadi who will be looking to cement a place in the Nigerian national team ahead of next year’s World Cup.

“Milan and I have come to an agreement based on the opportunities that will be afforded me in the first team,” he was quoted as saying by Goal.com.

“And Brescia have been after me for the past two months so I am glad to be joining them.

“I know that I have to play regularly to secure a place in the Super Eagles which has informed this decision.”

Oduamadi, who tweeted on Friday in Italian of his gratitude to God after confirming his move to Brescia, spent last season on loan at Serie B side Varese.

He also spent the season before that on loan at another Serie B side Torino, where he made 11 appearances and grabbed three goals.
