Okey Emordi Gets Kano Pillars vote of confidence
The Chairman of Kano Pillars Ibrahim Haruna has said the board has confidence in the ability of Technical Adviser, Okey Emordi to lead the club to a successful outing this season.
According to the media officer of the Nigeria Premier League club, Idris Milikawa, the Chairman and his members of the board were “impressed with the work done” by the coach Emordi-led technical crew but, nevertheless, they would continue “monitoring” him this season.
Haruna also pointed out that “staff and players would have a “free hand to discharge their primary responsibilities” but anyone found negligent would be dealt with, adding that the “welfare of the players would be the priority” of his board.
He said that plans were under way to “separate the functions of the board and management committee to avoid a clash of power or responsibility among them”.
He thanked the Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State for giving him opportunity to serve the state and assured that “with the calibre of people in the board would not disappoint” him and the people of Kano.
