Okon Takes Interim Charge of Super Falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation has mandated Nigeria Women Football League side, Rivers Angels head coach Edwin Okon to temporarily oversee the Super Falcons upcoming friendlies against Japan.

The dark-skinned gaffer whose team finished top of the Pool B log of the 2012/2013 NWFL regular season was in charge of the U-20 side during the 2012 FIFA World Cup held in Japan.

Speaking to SavidNews, Coach Okon admits receiving plenty of congratulations though says he to wait for orders from his employers.

“People have called in to congratulate me on the assignment at hand. But I’m yet to be notified by the NFF.

The tough games against top-ranked Japan has been fixed for 22nd and 26th September in Japan.
