Olumoroti rejects Kogi Deputy Governor offer, says I can’t be Deputy to Bello

Former front line governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progress Congress, (APC) and a petrol chemical engineer, Engr. Olushola George Olumoroti has debunk the remour going round that he has accepted to be the running mate of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, noting that he can never be party to such arrangement.

According to a press statement signed and made available to Journalist in Lokoja, the Kabba born petrol chemical engineer turned politician said he was part of the people that contributed to the overall success of the AUDU/FALEKE TICKET under the APC and he would prefer to would with the ticket that saw the party to victory on the November 21.

Olumoroti said the Audu/Faleke ticket had already won the election with a huge different of 41,000 votes, stressing that bringing Bello into the race at this point is a disservice to the people that work tirelessly to enthrone the party in the state.

He said he has no plan whatsoever to dump Audu/Faleke Campaign Organization rather he will continue to work with them to actualize the mandate for Hon. James Faleke to carry on with the rescue vision and mission of late Prince Abubakar Audu in order to rescue the state.

He further said that Bello who was virtually not sighted in any of the campaigns that went round the state could not come and inherit the 240, 000 votes already declared for Audu/Faleke ticket.

He urged the national leadership of the party to review their decision in order to retain Kogi State, warning that if the ongoing lingering crises is not properly handle, it might spell doom for the party in
the nearest future.
