Francisca Ordega made her maiden appearance for Levante in their 1-1 draw with Santa Teresa in Sunday’s Spanish Primera Iberdrola game.

The 27-year-old forward joined the Granotes on a two-year deal last month from Chinese Women’s Super League side Shanghai Shengli, where she made 14 league appearances and scored seven times.

Ordega was handed her first appearance by manager Maria Pry at City of Valencia Stadium moments after the half-time break, replacing Natasa Andonova in the second half of the tie.

After a barren first half, Belen Bethlehem broke the deadlock, netting for the relegation troubled visitors from a fine pass from Nayadet Lopez in the 63rd minute of the encounter.

The Nigeria international produced a decent performance in her cameo appearance upon her introduction in the four minutes later and Esther Gonzalez struck off Rocio Galvez’s assist to help the Toffees avoid defeat four minute from time.

Following her debut outing, Ordega has finally made a competitive return to the pitch at club level for the first time since October 2019 when she last kicked the ball for the Chinese side.

She will hope to secure a starting role also an impactful full debut when Levante take on Madrid in their next league game on May 22.
