Oshiomhole condoles Oba of Benin on Queen’s death

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has commiserated with the Oba of Benin, Omo n’Oba Erediauwa on the death of his Queen, Oloi Esther Erediauwa.adams oshiomole edo

The Governor who was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Governor, Dr Pius Odubu and other members of the State Executive Council, expressed deep sorrow of the people of the state on the passage of the Queen.

He said: “I learnt yesterday about the death of our late mother. We have come to condole your majesty. We pray that the Lord would grant you the fortitude to bear the loss.

“On a personal note, my mother has asked me to send her condolences because she was in regular contact with the late Queen. She has fond memories of her relationship with the Queen.

“All of us, your children, naturally feel the irreparable loss of our mother. As we say, we as ordinary mortals cannot question God. So we ask God to console all of us because she belonged to all of us and may God grant us the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We ask God Almighty to strengthen your Majesty, to bless you with good health, long life and all the wisdom with which you have guided all of us”, he said.

The Governor said “all the people of Edo State share with your Majesty in this moment of grief and pray that God Almighty would grant her eternal rest.”
