Osimhen, Ebuehi out of Ghana clash as 11 players hit Eagles camp

Four players notably Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen will not be available for Nigeria’s senior men’s national team friendly match with Ghana this week.

Other players who will not be available for the game include Gabriel Osho, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Taiwo Awoniyi.

The players were ruled out of the game due to injury.

Eleven players, meanwhile resumed camp ahead of this week’s match in Morocco.

Cyriel Dessers, Nathan Tella, Moses Simon, Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Bashiru, and Calvin Bassey are some of the early arrivals in camp

Others are Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Jamilu Collins, Bruno Onyeamachi, and Umar Sadiq.

Former Nigeria forward Finidi George will occupy the chief’s corner in the dugout when the Super Eagles confront West African arch-rivals Ghana in an international friendly in Marrakech on Friday.

The 52-year-old former Ajax Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and Real Betis (Spain) winger, who made a scoring debut for fatherland in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Burkina Faso at the National Stadium, Lagos on 27th July 1991, has been appointed by the NFF to hold the reins in the meantime as a group of 22 players takes on Ghana and Mali in this month’s international window.
