Osun Football Association backs Taiwo Ogunjobi for NFF President

The Osun State Football Association has thrown their weight behind its Chairman, Taiwo Ogunjobi, its support in his quest to become the next President of the NFF.

A statement from the Osun FA described Ogunjobi as a bridge-builder and an asset to Nigerian football, considering his wealth of experience having served as the Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee and as Secretary-General of the federation.

“Ogunjobi has always acted in the best interest of Nigerian football and he is the most experienced candidate vying for the NFF job.”

“The NFF needs a better and experienced candidate in Ogunjobi that can help football grow by removing unnecessary roadblocks and channel a way forward.”

The Nigeria Electoral Committee on Thursday cleared seven aspirants to contest the NFF presidential election.

The committee also named the four candidates for NFF 1st Vice-President election.

Former Secretary-General of the federation Taiwo Ogunjobi tops the list of the presidential candidates including Mike Umeh, Abba Yola, Pinnick Amaju, Iorfa Dominic, Dikko Shehu and Amanze Uchegbulam.

The candidates for the 1st Vice-President contest are Emeka Inyama, Adamu Shehu, Seyi Akinwunmi and Suleyman Muazu.
