Osun: Obokun face Orolu in Osun Governor’s Under 17 finals

The final match of the maiden edition of Osun Governor’s Under 17 Cup, takes place today Thursday, November 21, at Government Technical School, Oshogbo.

Obokun Local Government will clash against Orolu Local Government in the finals.

Obokun defeated hard fighting Ilesa West Local Government 2-1, while Orolu whitewashed Oriade 3-0 to qualified for the finals.

The finals will be preceded by third place match between Oriade Local Government and Ilesha West Local Government.

All the local government teams that participated in the competition were given free jerseys and boots.

State of Osun Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, will lead members of the state executives to the grand finale.

Speaking with journalists yesterday, the organizer, Samuel Adeniran (Double Accord), said giant trophies and cash prizes will be shared among the overall champions, runners up and best loosers.

He appreciate the government of the state for approving the tournament and for the support given to them.
