Paris 2024: Ezinne Kalu makes Olympics All-Second Team

Nigeria women’s basketball star, Ezinne Kalu was named in the All-Second Team for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The reserve team comprises five players with a player each from Nigeria, Belgium, Germany, France, and Australia.

Kalu, alongside Julie Vanloo (Belgium), Satoiu Sabally (Germany), Valeriane Ayayi (France), and Ezi Magbegor, made the basketball All-Second team.

Kalu lifted the D’Tigress to the quarter final of the Olympics making the team the first to make it to the latter stage of the Olympics.

The feat made Nigeria the first African basketball team (men or women) to make it to the quarter-finals at the Olympics.

Her coach, Rena Wakama also won the best coach in basketball.
