Paris 2024: Nigeria misses out on women’s and men’s 4×100m final

Nigeria will not take part in the finals of both men’s and women’s 4×100m relay finals.
The Nigerian quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Favour Ofili, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Tima Godless finished sixth in heat 2 of women’s 4x100m.
They ran a Season’s Best (SB) of 42.70 seconds but missed out on an automatic position into the final.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian quartet of Favour Ashe, Kanyansola Ajayi, Alaba Akintola, and Usheoritse Itsekiri also didn’t make the finals in heat 1 of the men’s 4×100m race.
Nigeria finished seventh with a season-best of 38.20 seconds.
South Africa grabbed an automatic spot in the final, finishing second in a season-best of 37.94 seconds.
The United States of America (USA) won the race in 37.47 seconds.
