Nigeria’s men’s 4×400m relay team has been disqualified from taking part in the finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The team has been disqualified for stepping on the line during the heat.
Despite their second-placed finish, the Nigerian 4×400m men’s relay team’s chances of winning a medal are now over.

The quartet of Emmanuel Ojeli, Ezekiel Nathanial, Dubem Amene, and Chidi Okezie had a season-best of 2:59.81 in heat 2.

Nigeria will not emulate Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 gold and bronze medals.

The West African country’s search for the first medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics continues.
