Nigeria’s Flora Ugwunwa has won a silver medal in women’s Javelin F54, finishing second with a throw of 19.26m on Saturday.
Ugwunwa won Nigeria’s first medal in Para-Athletics, taking the country’s overall tally to four medals won at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Paris.
The 40-year-old has now won her third consecutive medal at the Paralympics.
She won gold medals at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 and now silver (Paris).
The silver was Nigeria’s second at the Paris 2024 Paralympics after Onyinyechi Mark claimed Nigeria’s first silver medal in powerlifting a day earlier.
