Paris 2024: Sports Minister John Owan Enoh picks positive from Nigeria’s dismal Olympics outing

Nigeria’s sports minister, John Owan Enoh, has lamented the barren outing of Team Nigeria as the curtain falls on the Paris 2024 Olympics this weekend.

Addressing a press conference in Paris, he declared that the poor showing notwithstanding, there are takeaways for Nigeria.

The minister pointed at the exploits of the women’s basketball team, D’Tigress as highly commendable.

“They achieved what they and the other African teams have never done before.

“In the long jump, we may not have won any medal, but we have three Nigerians in the final phase. There are more and more that we can build up on the subsequent games.”
