Super Eagles striker Peter Utaka has declared that his sibling John made the right move by choosing Turkey as his next destination.

The 31-year-old joined the Turkish side on a two-year deal after undergoing a successful medical in Sivas.

The ex-Portsmouth man turned down offers from the the Middle East and Asia after he became a free agent in the summer.

“John has made the best move his life to Turkey after great seasons in France and that tells you why he will have another great season in the Turkish league,” says Peter.

“There are lots of offers on his table but he allowed God to choose for him, I wanted him to come to China but I think he didn’t want it.”

“John is an intelligent player, he always moves for convenience because of his simple lifestyle.”

Peter was missing in action on Wednesday when his Chinese club suffered 0-3 defeat in the hands of the league leaders but the enterprising striker believes Beijing Guaon are on course.

“We are still on course, defeat is part of the game and it can only make us better and get more focused for the next game.”
