Photos: Gov Bello Arrives Saudi Arabia for Hajj, Contradicts Kano Stranded Report

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has arrived Mecca in Saudi Arabia for the lesser hajj on Thursday, contrary to reports by Sahara Reporters that he was stranded in Kano.

On Thursday, the SR reported that governor Bello’s trip to Saudi Arabia was aborted at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, as his travel visa had expired, but photo evidences had confirmed he successfully embarked on the trip.

Recalled SavidNews reported yesterday the Governor Bello was present with his Kano counterpart Ganduje Umar at the bailout disbursement ceremony to 44 LGs in Kano.

Confirming the development, the governor’s aide on electronic media, Petra Akinti Onyegbule rubbished the report, reeling out pictures of his arrival in the Muslim’s dubbed holy land.

Minutes later, his commissioner of finance and personal friend, Idris Asiru, posted pictures, announcing their arrival.

As at time of filing the report, SavidNews was still making efforts to substantiate the claims of the governor’s aides if the purported images signaling his arrival were not same posted when they earlier visited the country back in April.
