Police say 7 died in Borno multiple explosion

The Borno Police Command on Wednesday announced that only seven people along three suicide bombers died in Tuesday night’s multiple explosion that rocked Maiduguri.

The State Commissioner of Police, Aderemi Opadokun, disclosed this when he spoke to journalists in Maiduguri.

According to Opadokun, the multiple terror attack happened in Sajeri and Bulumkutu area of Maiduguri in Borno State.

“At about 7.41 pm on Tuesday, there were Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in three locations at the outskirt of Maiduguri,” NAN qouted Opadokun.

“The locations are Gidan Shanu behind Bakassi estate, Sajeri and Bulumkutu,” Mr. Opadokun said.

“Seven people, including three suspected suicide bombers, died, while eleven persons were injured.

“All the casualties have been removed from scene and taken to the hospital and normalcy has been restored,” he said.
