Presidency 2015: Atiku’s Campaign Posters flood Abuja

As battle begins ahead of the 2015 Presidential election, posters of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar yesterday flooded the streets of Abuja.

The posters were decked on walls of major overhead and pedestrian bridges as well as walls by the road sides especially along the ever busy Umaru Yar’Adua way, the road leading to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in the nation’s capital.atiku

A close look at the glossy posters shows that there were no parties attached under which the Turaki Adamawa is contesting, but they were sponsored by the Turaki Network of Change, (TNC).

Inscription on the poster include, “inspired by Change, Turaki Network for Change, TNC Atiku Abubakar GCON ( Turaki Adamawa) Bigger Challenges Greater Opportunities.”

However, the former president who was yet to indicate interest to run for the 2015 Presidential election against President Goodluck Jonathan, is currently a member of the National Executive Committee, NEC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Atiku was the presidential flag bearer of the Action for Democracy, AD, in 2007 but lost to President Umar Yar’Adua.

He also contested for the presidential ticket under PDP platform in 2011, but was defeated by President Goodluck Jonathan.
