Presidency 2015: Group mourns Deputy Speaker, Urges Lamido to contest
The National Forum for Lamido 2015, Tuesday consoled the family of Honourable Inuwa Sule Udi, the Deputy Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, who was involved in a car accident while on his way home from Kano.
The group also condoled with Governor Sule Lamido, the House Speaker, members of the Assembly and the people of the State.
The group in a statement issued by its Secretary General, Chief Ibrahim Babatunde Olorogun-Etti expressed shock at the death of the lawmaker.
The group, which is made up of politicians, youths and businessmen from the 36 States in the country and Abuja, also urged the governor to contest the 2015 presidential election.
Emphasizing that the governor could be trusted with the highest position in the country, the group said Lamido’s endorsement was born out of its belief that he has the qualities to reposition Nigeria.
“We want the governor to contest the 2015 presidential election because of his proven leadership qualities and our belief that he can pilot the ship of Nigeria to a safe destination’ the statement said.
The National Forum for Lamido 2015, according to the statement, is a political organization established to mobilize Nigerians at home and abroad towards ensuring the emergence of Alhaji Sule Lamido as the president of the country in 2015.
The statement ended by praying that God Almighty would console Governor Sule Lamido, the House Speaker, members of the Assembly , the people of the State, members of the Udi family and grants the soul of the departed lawmaker peaceful rest.
