Safety Shooters defeated Kano Pillars 25-24 in the Day One of the ongoing second phases of the Prudent Energy Handball League in Lagos.
The FRSC sponsored side started on the back foot as they were trailed 12-7 by the Sai Masu Gida team in the first half at the outdoor court of the Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba.

In other matches, Plateau Vipers and Owena Kings shared the spoils in a tension-soaked encounter as the contest ended 26-26, while Niger United edged past COAS (Chief of Army Staff) Shooters 28-24 but Sokoto Rima bowed to Borno Spiders 32-28.
