Radio Kogi Recieving Digital Transformation – Commissioner

Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Yabagi Bologi, has said that the attention given to the State Information Sector by the Idris Wada Administration in the last one year was more than the attention given to it by other preceding Administrations.

Alhaji Bologi gave this indication while speaking with Pressmen on the first year of his leadership of the Ministry.

The Commissioner said the State Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kogi, is undergoing transformation as the three moribund booster Stations are in the process of being revived and digitized.

He further disclosed that the recently passed enabling law of the Corporation was being implemented to ensure the efficient running of the Radio Station.

Alhaji Bologi said the State Newspaper outfit, the Graphic, has been turned around as the Newspaper now circulates widely in all parts of the State, which has enabled it to generate enough revenue for the printing of the paper.

The Commissioner disclosed that arrangements for the establishment of Kogi State television station has reached advanced stages, as the State has already obtained the operational license and allocated frequency from the National Broadcasting Commission.

He commended the State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, for his interest in developing the Information Sector to an enviable status.

The Governor, he said, has recently approved a new programme of action for the Ministry of Information, which will enable the Ministry to inform the people of the State better and project the potentials and aspirations of the State to the outside world.

The Commissioner, who thanked the Management and staff of the Ministry and its parastatals for their commitment to duty, also charged them to work harder in the period ahead, saying “to whom much is given much is also expected”
