Rivers United beat Ikukuoma FC to President Federation Cup Round of 32 place
Top flight Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United secured a spot in the Round of 32 of the 2024 President Federation Cup after a 1-0 victory over Ikukuoma FC at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
The decisive moment for the Pride of Rivers came in the 63rd minute when substitute Nyima Nwagua’s powerful header found the back of the net, sending the team’s f faithful into jubilation.
Despite a valiant effort from Ikukuoma FC, they were unable to find an equalizer, and we held on for a deserved win.
With this result, we advance to the next round, where we will face a new challenge in Niger Tornadoes as we continue our campaign in the President Federation Cup.
