Robbery Attack On First Bank Claims 2, Injures several In Kogi

At least twenty unidentified gunmen have reportedly attacked a first generation Bank, First Bank of Nigeria in Kabba, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Our correspondent gathered that a policeman on duty and a civilian was killed during the attack, which also left several people injured.

An eye witness report, said the unknown gunmen invaded the bank at about 11:00am and were heavily armed.

Activities of men of the underworld have increased in Western senatorial district of the state as banks and police stations have been attacked which has brought worry and untold hardship on the people of the area.

It would be recalled that a bank at Iyara and “D” Divisional Police Station in the community and another in Ayetoro-Gbede both in Ijumu Local Government Area were attacked about one-and-half years ago by gunmen.
