Super Falcons of Nigeria were defeated 3-1 by Sia One Boys Academy in a local friendly match played at FIFA Goal Project pitch of the Abuja National stadium on Tuesday.falcons 3

The encounter was the third local tune-up games played by the Nigeria’s women senior national team in preparatory to next month’s African Women Championship qualifier against the She-Amavubi of Rwanda.

The Sia One Boys though started the encounter brightly that the Edwin Okon’s ladies only secured their first breakthrough in the 25th minutes through Mohammed Usman before Ejiro Iwelemo double the lead with five minutes into the break.

The impressive lads of former national team coach and player, Samson Siasia added the third on resumption of the second half through Sola Idehen in the 47th minute.

Nevertheless, Super Falcons pulled one back in what looked like a consolation goal in the 78th minute when Imoh Anam rifled home from close range to end the tasty encounter 3-1 n favour of the Sia One Boys Academy.
