Nigeria’s senior national team Coach Daniel Amokachi has described the outcome of his side’s 1-1 draw against South Africa as a fair result.

Bongani Zungu’s injury-time strike rescued a point for the Bafana Bafana as he cancelled Ahmed Musa’s excellent strike in Sunday’s friendly against Nigeria at the Mbombela Stadium.

Amokachi who thinks they were lucky to have ran away unbeaten thanks to Andile Jali’s missed penalty which denied the hosts an advantage of lead, lamented the late conceded equalizer.

“It is fair, coming away from home after losing to Uganda. Ninety-eight percent of the players are having their first, second or third caps,” Amokachi said in the post match conference.

“It is a fair result but when you are winning and one goal up, conceding is not good’’, he said.
