South African Football Association president: Morocco will stage a fantastic World Cup

The President of the South African Football Association, Danny Jordaan, has expressed his delight that Morocco will be co-hosting the 2030 World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.

Danny Jordaan said in an interview with Egyptian channel Al Oula’s sports program that “hosting the World Cup in Morocco is an opportunity for Africa to present this major global event according to the International Football Federation (FIFA), and so when Africa has the opportunity to host the tournament for the second time, it’s a great thing.”

The President of the South African Football Association added: “I expect Morocco to be a great success because the Kingdom of Morocco has a quality infrastructure and a great team that reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.”

He also anticipated that “this African country, Morocco, will continue to fight to organize the World Cup, and this is a great moment for African soccer. We hope to see an African team win the World Cup, and we wish Morocco an outstanding World Cup.”
