Nigerian Sports Writers set to name Dr Ifeanyi Ubah as National Patron

All roads lead to the commercial city of Nnewi in Anambra state south-East Nigeria as Nigeria Sports Journalists under the aegies of the Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria SWAN converge to honour chief Dr Ifeanyi Ubah as the National Patron of the Association.
The honour is coming on the heels of the numerous contributions of the oil magnet and proprietor of top flight premiership side FC IfeanyiUbah, Dr Ifeanyi Uba to the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.
A statement by the National Secretariat of SWAN signed the National Secretary Mr Andrew Abah. Said the conferment of the Award of honour on Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah will spur him to contribute more to the growth of the sports sector where he had shown significant interest and passion.
The statement enjoined all the National Officers of the Association as well as invited delegates and journalists to arrive Nnewi on Saturday 22nd August 2015 while the event will take place on Sunday 23rd August by 7pm at his residence.
The National Secretary added that part of the event would be a guided tour and inspection of the Multi billion naira ultra modern international stadium being constructed by Chief Ifeanyi Ubah in Nnewi.
Expected at the event from different parts of the country are sports Administrators and football stakeholders, the Media, support groups as well as family, friends and well wishers of Dr Ifeanyi Ubah.
