Super Falcons roast Spotlight Queens 12-0 in Friendly

Nigeria’s senior women national team thrashed the second tier Women Professional League side Spotlight Queens 12-0 in a friendly played at the Fifa Goal Project pitch, Abuja on Monday.

A hat-trick from Chioma Wogu and a brace from Ngozi Okobi and Mercy Amanze including a goal each from Loveth Ayila, Chisom Henry, Iniabasi Umotong, Ebere Okoye and Onyinyechi Ohadugha secured Super Falcons their fourth victory in all friendlies.

Last Saturday, goals from Ngozi Ebere, Francisca Ordega and Umotong ensured 3-0 win over Confluence Queens to step up their preparations for the upcoming 2015 All Africa Games qualifier against Mali billed for March 22 in Bamako.

Okobi powered the Edwin Okon’s side into an early lead in the 4th minute against the second-tier women league side as Amanze, Okobi and Ayila netted in the 27th, 35th and 37th minute respectively to hand Falcons a 4-0 first half advantage.

In the second half, substitute Wogu netted three times while Amanze, Henry, Umotong, Okoye and Onyinyechi added their goals to roast their Katsina visitors 12-0 at regulation time.
